Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!
I got up this morning and sat at my dining room table and filled all the little jars with the little fruity pacifiers for my cousin’s baby shower I am hosting on June 12th. I wish I would have remembered to take a picture of all the things lined up.
Well here is a layout I did last week of me on my wedding day in June 1996. I really like how it turned out. Everything used on the layout except for the little flowers and the bling are from the April Swirly doo’s kit “Park Avenue”.
Well I am going to go back to being a couch potato like I have been so far this weekend trying to get over this cold I caught on Tuesday. Summer colds are the WORST ever

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone is having a good morning so far! It’s raining here but hopefully it will not rain all day or start raining heavy like it was in the middle of the night with Thunderstorms.
Well I have to share with you all of the neat things that have arrived lately. First are my door prize winnings from Scrapbook.com from National Scrapbooking Day
Winnings:
Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher
Tim Holtz Distress Ink- Victorian Velvet
Zip Dry
Jenni Bowlin- Embellished Butterflies
Basicgrey-Pops
Thickers- Delight Fabric Letter Stickers
Sticky Thumb-Double sided permanent adhesive
Pink Paislee- Ribbon pleats (Bayberry Cottage)
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist- Lavender Fields
Stickles- Diamond, Silver, & Gold
Bazilla Basics Buttons-Vintage
Bo Bunny All Stuck Up- Flowers & Brads
The second things I have to share are my new scrap accessories storage bins for my cricut cartridges. I spent Saturday evening linking all of my cartridges to my new Gypsy and transferring them over to the scrap accessories bins to have a little bit more room.
My husband and I are baby sitting our little nephew so was not able to get any scraping done after transferring stuff over last night but and going to try and finish a layout while him and my husband are watching cartoons.
We got our nephew last night and decided to have hot dogs for dinner well they were tukey hot dogs and when we gave one to my nephew I really did not think he was going to eat it at all. Well he took the first bite and his face shifted a little but he kept eating. I asked him if he liked it but he wouldn't answer me so I was like I guess he can't tell the difference cause he kept eating. Well he eats a majority of the hot dog and then asks my husband why the hot dog is white and not brown. It apparently took him that long to realize what was wrong with the hot dog. Gotta love kids!

Road Trip
Hope Everyone is having a great Sunday!
Well today is my last day home alone my husband has been out of town since Friday and is on his way back home today from Philadelphia and should be home in the next hour or so.
I decided to finally do this Road Trip layout that I have been trying to do for the last year but each time I bring out the paper and picture to work on it I can never seem to make it work for me but today was the day and I finally did the layout.
This is a picture of my cousin Traon and Joan catching a quick nap as we are driving to our next adventure of day as I call it at our 2009 Non-Family reunion. We didn't officaly have a reunion last year but we went down to just relax and see family members that live in that area.
The papers used are from:
My Little Yellow Bicycle Travler collecion
Well I am going to go work some on my family reunion scrapbook that will be showed at the reunion this year before my husband gets back and I have no more peace and quiet LOL!!!!!

Family
Family is one of the most important things in my life. My family has always been there for me through thick and thin and whenever I was down they were always there to make me feel better.
My family is very dysfunctional but I could not ask for a better family who is there always thru thick and thin. Even though most of my family lives in this area every year we travel 4 hours to our homestead for our annual family reunion. The best part besides the actual reunion is getting together for the reunion meetings.
Well today we had a family reunion meeting last one before the reunion in July. It will be our first one in two years due to some house issues we have had and have finally gotten the homestead to where we could have part of our reunion on the property and the rest at a restaurant in Gretna, VA called C&E’s let me tell you that is the best soul food I have ever eaten.
Oh gotten off of topic so back to the meeting so I am the family secretary and when starting the meeting had to read back the meeting minutes from the last meeting. After I finished my aunt looks at me and said that is all we discussed at a four hour meeting. I responded that that was all that was discussed that pertained to the actual family reunion not the other 20 topics you guys interrupted the meeting to just start talking about. I am sorry but dealing with a bunch of older women is sometimes hard but can I tell you HILARIOUS! My husband once commented you guys can’t get anything done because you always have to stop the meeting and catch up all of the late people and all of the eating that we do.
Today at this meeting we celebrated two special events:
This is my Aunt Frances and in two weeks she will be retiring from her job:
This is my cousin Traon and last night she finished her program to get her certification in Adminstration and can become a Vice Principal:
The hilarious part was we told each of them the cake was to celebrate the other persons event they were fully surprised when we revealed the cake was for both of them.

Happy Mother's Day!
I hope all of the Mother’s out there are enjoying your special day so far. Since my mom has passed I thought I would do a special layout just to celebrate her today.
I lost my Mom in August of 1998 two years after I had gotten married. I am actually grateful that my mom was there to see me get married and help me plan that special event. The picture in this layout is from my wedding day. This was the last picture that we actually took together as she really did NOT like to have her picture taken and I usually had to take pictures of her with out her knowing it.
I used the papers and embellishments from my March Swirlydoos kit “Butterfly Whispers” to create this layout.
Well, I am off to the store to get all the preparations for tonight’s dinner to celebrate my Mother-in-law, and Sister-in-law for being the great mothers that they are.
Products Used:
Prima Flights of Fancy paper
Marta Steward Punch
Color Box Pigment Brush Pad-Merlot

Thank You!
Work has just been pretty horrific lately but with the help of my great IT guy I have been able to get through everything. Even after my little meltdown today he was calm and we got everything FINALLY fixed and now everyone’s PTO is back on track. To thank him for all of his hard work I got him 2 bottles of red wine that he likes.
I am new at making cards and since it is for a guy I was not going to put flowers or anything on them. Here is what I came up with pretty quickly and I do like the results.
The inside message reads:
Ruel,
I just wanted to give you a little gift to show you how much all of the help and work you have done to help me get PTO fixed were greatly appreciated.
I hope you and your wife enjoy!
I used Verse stamps for the sentiment and Classic Blue Stampin Up ink.

Friendship
Happy National Scrapbooking Day!
Well it’s the 1st day of May and the weather is so nice outside. I hope everyone get’s to do something creative today as I am getting ready to do a layout after finishing all of my running around today with errands and then I had to go get my first pedicure of the season since I will officially be bringing my feet out :-).
Here is a card that I made last weekend but it rained most of the week that I was not able to get a picture of it until today. I may send this to my best friend in PA as she is always there for me when I just need someone to listen.
The papers are by Teresa Collins friendship collection
