Halloween Pictures

Happy Friday!

As I promised here are some pictures of my niece and nephew on halloween. The weather was just great and we had fun walking around and collecting all of the candy.

I had to get the picture of her shoes. They are just adorable and went perfect with her cinderella costume.

November Already?

I cannot believe that we are already into the 5th day of November already. I swore that October had just begun the other day and it has already left. October is a very busy month for me especially as it is my birthday month and I LOVE to celebrate my birthday. I do a countdown to the actual day and on the day I pull out my Tiara (seen in picture below) and pick what purple shirt I will be wearing that day. I have to wear my most favorite color on my most favorite day.

This year one girl at work said that when she had her birthday this year she was all sad and could not wear her crown cause turning 30 was depressing to her and I had to explain that the reason I am so happy and can celebrate like this every year is due to the fact that I don’t focus on how old I am turning but that this day symbolizes that “IT’S ALL ABOUT ME” it is the one day of the whole year that it really is all about me and nothing can get me sad or angry on this day.

This year I was absolutely surprised when I went to work (YES, I do work on my birthday no one is at home to wish me happy birthday LOL!). My co-worker had come in over the weekend and put almost 200 balloons in my desk. I could not even sit there that day I had to sit at another desk for the day until I had to break in and then my other co-worker got me a Tiffany’s cake and this bakery is the only other place that can replace my favorite cake which is a giant yellow cake with white icing.

My Desk:

Tiffany's Cake:

I am sure you are wondering what I did with all of those balloons right? Well I moved what was containing them in my desk to the corner and that is where they sit and will stay until they all go down. It gives me joy to look at it

I will be back to showing you pictures from halloween and from my photography class outing this week. Have a great Saturday!

Happy October!!!

I can’t believe that summer is officially gone and we are already in October. Boy was it cold yesterday and today. Even though I LOVE the month of October because I get to celebrate a very special day “MY BIRTHDAY” is on October 17th and every year for family and friends I do a birthday countdown to my actual day and today I am 15 days away

Since yesterday was Card Making day I thought I would share a card I had made a while back that I had not yet posted.

Well I am off to help celebrate my brother-in-laws girlfriend's birthday. She just turned 30 on September 30th.

Dream

I hope that everyone is enjoying their Saturday so far! I am in the process of doing the regular chores like wash clothes.
I took a little break so that my wonderful cousin Robin Shakoor could help me out and teach me how to download a digital package into my creative memories storybook creator.
I chose to pick up Fairland Purple by Melancolie at http://www.shabbypickledesigns.com/boutique/home.php. I did this quick little digital layout of my niece just to play around. I hope you enjoy it.

Enjoy the rest of your day!!!

Thank You

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all enjoying this 3 day weekend. I thought I was going to have to work today since it is a payroll week but due to issues I get to enjoy the day which is fine for me.

It has been a very hectic two weeks and I am enjoying my time to relax between my husbands table at the comic book convention and my business trip to Canada the next Thursday and in between all of that we had a earthquake.

Today I bring you a digital layout I did of my nephew Tyler this week as a thank you gift to his baby sitter. My sister-in-law called me Tuesday before I left work asking if I would help her get this together as it was going to be his last day on Wednesday.

We took pictures from each stages of his life to put in the layout for him.

I took time this morning to sort thru my pictures from Montreal and I will show you more pictures in the up coming days but here is the best picture ever.

Since my boss and I were there over the weekend we did a bus tour of the city that you can hop on and off of. I knew I wanted to see Notre Dame Basicalla (YES there is one in Montreal Canada also besides the one in Italy)
This is just the most beautiful place in the world and the emotional feeling I got being in here is just unexplanable.

I am off to upload and edit my pictures from the comic con. Enjoy your day

Jaydin't 1st Easter

Happy Friday! I am so glad the weekend is here even though I will not get any scrapping time this weekend. For of those who followed my blog for a while will remember last year my husband got his first table at the Baltimore Comic Con to sell his drawings. Well this weekend we are doing it again and one of his biggest idols is going to be a guest Stan Lee.

I am hoping that I will be able to show pictures this weekend especially from the costume contest they do and it amazes me the time the people take to create their costumes and then there are the ones who threw the costume together in about 5 minutes and you can absolutely tell who those people are LOL.

Today I am bringing you a super cute layout I did of my little cousin Jaydin that I took at her first Easter this year. Since her dress was pink and I didn't have any pick flowers that exactly matched the soft pink of her dress I took some while flowers and sprayed them with Tattered Angels Pink Bubblegum and put stickles around the die cut.

I used the Swirlydoos April  kit “Bella Volo”

40 Years of Marriage

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone is having a great Sunday so far. I am doing the usual weekend duties of washing clothes and cleaning. I will also be doing some scrapping in between.

Today I am bringing you a layout I did of my In-laws that I took on their 40th wedding anniversary. We took them out to dinner at a nice restaurant and then outside we took this picture of them. I couldn't ask for better in-laws and love them to death. Again I did that pesky fussy cutting again on the butterfly and glued a trinket as the butterfly's body.

I used the Swirlydoo's April "Bella Volo" kit for this layout

Supplies:
Papers: Bo Bunny 12" Gabrielle , Bo Bunny 12" Gabrielle Cut outs

Happy 1st Birthday Jaydin!

Happy Wednesday! We are half way thru the week YEA!!!!

Today I bring you a special layout of my sweet little cousin Jaydin who today is celebrating her 1st birthday.

This is a picture I had taken at our family reunion in July. It was Jaydin's first trip to our family homestead and as you can tell by the picture she was just excited to be there.

I used the Swirlydoos April "Bella Volo" kit for this layout. I fussy cut out the butterflies that are at the bottom of the page and as much as I admire it when other people do it I am NOT a big fan of it but it just so fit on the page I had to do it LOL!!!

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone is enjoying there weekend and hopefully getting something crafty in. Today I wanted to bring you something I have been wanting to try but was not able to do until last week on my much deserved vacation.

I made stick pins! I am very excited on how they turned out I can't wait to make more.

I would also like to show you a picture that I took on the way coming back home from my annual family reunion.
I just love the trees and the mountain views traveling these roads.

Well, I am off to try and get in some crafting before going to my in-laws to celebrate my brother and sister in-laws birthday.

Those Eyes

Good Morning!
Today it is supposed to be 100 degrees outside so I will not be leaving the house today and to my great surprise they have scrapbooking shows on HSN.com. One of the new things that look interesting is the new Martha Stewart stamp around the page set but I have yet to master punch around the page so I will not be ordering maybe wait til it's available in the stores apparently in September.

Today I bring you a cute little layout I did of my niece. I love this picture of her and it was by fluke that I got this close-up of her.

I used the April Swirlydoos kit on this layout and the Martha Stewart double loops corner punch to create the edges on each corner.

Hope you have a great day!

Happy Wednesday!

WOW! I can’t believe my last post was in May. To say life has been a little busy would be an understatement it’s been absolutely CRAZY!!!!! at work which has left me with not much home life lately but things at work are starting to slow down hopefully. The best thing is I am on VACATION this week!

Since I have last blogged I have had some great events happen since I last shared with you guys

• My Husband and I celebrated 15 years of marriage. It’s hard to believe that much time has passed

• My nephew graduated high school. We were a little unsure there for a while but he did it and we are so proud of him

• Attended the Great American Scrapbook Convention. It was so much fun but was smaller than it usually was in previous years.

I was able to slip in some scrapbooking through all of the craziness and have some cards and pages to show you.

Copic Coloring Pages

I hope everyone’s Sunday is going well. Mine was going good until my husband walked out of the house this morning to find the back window of our card smashed. But to offset that bad Karma we are taking my in-laws out to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary.

Today I am here to show you the first book I made with my bind it all. I hate to admit I have had this machine for two years and I just pulled it out when I got this idea to make my own book to practice my copic coloring in on my upcoming trip to Philadelphia.

I spent a whole day watching videos on how to use and I kind of forgot, cutting my pages, stamping, and printing out my digital images. This was the best day I had in a while cause I was just ignoring everything else and doing scrapbooking stuff. I hope to get more of these days soon.

It was a lot of work but I so LOVE how the book turned out. For my cover I used the Bo Bunny Gabrielle collection from my April Swirlydoo’s kit “Belle Volo”.

Well it's starting to rain here and we are supposed to have rain on and off for the next few days.

Friend Cards

Hello Everyone! I hope your Friday is off to a great start and you are gearing up to do some major scrapping on National Scrapbooking Day tomorrow. I know that scrapbook.com is having contests all day long and Swirlydoos.com is having some major stuff going on tomorrow. I unfortunately will be out of town and will be unable to participate but I wish you all the best of luck!

I popped in today while I am waiting to leave for my girls get away weekend to share two cards I made with scraps of paper I had around from old kits. The  papers are from the Teresa Collins "Friendship" collection.

Have a great weekend!

HOME

I do hope everyone had a great weekend! I did have a great weekend I got to scrap and buy scrap supplies LOL!!!!. Today I bring a layout to you of my family homestead that is in a small town called Hurt, VA.

Every summer we have our annual family reunion in July for 3 fun filled days of reconnecting with family. I love going down the country even when we didn’t have our reunion for 3 years due to some damage to the inside of the house a group of us still went down to just relax and get away from the city life.

Charming & Adorable

Happy Friday!!! I am sooo happy today as I have today and Monday off work to just do nothing but scrap and do some house chores (ugh!!!)

Today I am bringing you a layout of my niece that I have been working on. I just loved the saying that was right on the paper and I knew it would work.

I am using the Union Square “Moments” Charming paper as the main paper on this layout as it just fits her and her personality. I used my Swirlydoos September “Mon Amour” kit for this layout.

I wish you all a great weekend and hope you get some scrapping done!

Happy

One day down four more to go! Hope your Tuesday is off to a good start!

Today I am bringing you a layout I did of my nephew/godson Tyler. This picture was taken during a family event at my house. My husband was playing with Tyler making scary laughing sounds at him and Tyler thought they were so funny he was just laughing.

I love this picture of him cause it totally captures his personally. I do belive when he grows up he will be the class clown and there will be lots of calls up to the school about him not listening.

I used my Swirlydoos "Mon Amour" kit for this layout as it highlighted his red shirt

Motherhood Journey

Well it's Monday again! I am sad to see the weekend come to an end and another long work week arrive.

This layout is of my cousin Traon on the day we took her to register for her baby gifts at Buy Buy Baby. This was such a long but fun day we even had to take a lunch break from registering for baby gifts. There is so much to pick out and consider for a baby maybe that is why I don't have kids LOL!!!. I kind of like being the aunt that can return them after watching them for a while and buy them all the annoying loud gifts and then send them home to their parents

I used my Swirlydoos "Mon Amour" kit to create this layout.

Valentine's Day Cards

Good Morning! I hope everyone's Sunday got off to a better start than mine. I woke up with a sinus headache and sometimes they can be really bad and today was one of them. I took my Nasnex and it's starting to go away but I did miss church but we tape our Sunday services so I am able to listen to any of the Sunday services I have bought and feel like I am right there.

I know that I am posting these a month late but with my computer problems. I was not able to post until now. These are the two cards I made for my husband on Valentine's day on the last minute. I usually just go buy the cards but since I was not leaving the house and needed some cards I made them and think they turned out really well.

I know you can't tell on this picture but I embossed the heart in clear.

Well, I am off to create some more!

My First Altered Item

Happy Saturday Everyone! I hope you are enjoying your Saturday so far as I am thoroughly enjoying mind. I slept in late, got dressed, scrapbooked a little, ate some lunch, took a nap, and now I am back to scrapping and watching old Charlie Angels episodes. But enough about me and on to what you actually came here to see.

I love reading blogs and seeing all of the items that people do and I am so envious at many of the altered items I see people create. One day while reading some blogs I found some easy directions on the Unity Opportunity Blog unityopportunity-blog.blogspot.com. I went to Michael's and got this cute little oval and other items on the shopping list and decided I will do this.

I sat down and just followed the instructions and here is my finished project. I am so proud that I actually did this and maybe one day I will be able to harder pieces like birdhouses like my cousin Robin http://robinshakoor.blogspot.com/2011/02/for-birds-graphic-45-once-upon.html did. I was in A.C. Moore yesterdy and looked at one that was just so adorable but I am far off from doing something like that. I think I want to try an altered notebook or clipboard next.

Happy Birthday Card

Happy Saturday to you all! I hope you are all having a relaxing day and getting some scrapping done. I am getting ready to start on some projects and take pictures of some projects that I have completed but have not yet had a chance to take pictures of.

I got my new computer and I am all up and running on it. This is my first post from my new computer I finished adding all of my stuff this morning so I can get back to the more important things in life like scrapbooking and relaxing.

Here is the birthday card I made to go with the birthday present I made for my husband's friend's wife for her 40th birthday present. Dana and Jeff LOVED the gift which I was so glad for.

Hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

My New Computer

Happy Sunday!
I hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday and getting some scrapping done or relaxing and spending time with family.

I would like to thank everyone for the beautiful comments on the birthday gift layout! I have to tell you they called the next day to Thank us for the present they said it was the best that they had ever gotten. I do also have the handmade birthday card to show you but my computer is low on disk space and it messes with my photo editing software so I am scared to add new pictures for the risk of them getting messed up.

Which brings me to my post today. I have been getting the "Low on disk space" message for some time and there is nothing else I can delete from my computer to make room. I knew that after about 10 years that my current laptop had served me well but I needed a new one and wanted to go to a desktop model. Well one night while watching QVC.com. I saw my new computer and it was for a real reasonable price and the best I could make payments over 5 months.

The best thing about the whole computer was the 1TB hard drive (this is what I am most excited about). I should not get that stupid "low on disk space" message any time soon. I hope to have it by the end of this month as the orders were not shipping from HP until the 19th of February.

Birthday Gift

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday! We had ice last night and we woke up to nothing but a sheet of ice.

This upcoming Saturday my husband and I have a surprise 40th birthday party to attend. Since I really don’t know the wife that well (I really only see her at gatherings) I decided that I would give her something that she can appreciate for many years. I did a layout of their recent wedding that she will be able to hang up in their new house.

To display the layout I bought a display case from Michaels. I do hope that she will enjoy this gift.

I used my July Swirlydoos Kit “Sweet Summer Serenity”
